I'm personally not one that believes using manual mode automatically makes you a better photographer and I don't think manual mode automatically makes better photos either. I do however believe that understanding how to use manual mode is what matters most in order to improve your landscape photography. Whether or not you actually use it isn't as important as the knowledge you gain from merely understanding how manual mode can positively impact your photography. In this video, I review an easy step by step process that enabled me to finally understand the inner workings of manual mode. It doesn't matter what type of camera you use, manual mode is manual mode regardless of the brand or style of camera you're using and this process should help resolve any confusion you may have. I recall when I was new to landscape photography the mere thought of using manual mode made be quiver with angst and no matter how many videos I watched or articles I read on the topic, I still didn't understand it. My goal with this week's video is that at the end you'll not only have a newfound appreciation for the creative control that manual mode provides, but also a clear and comfortable understanding of exactly how it works and how you can apply it to your landscape photography moving forward. You don’t have to learn how to use manual mode to take excellent photos! A common misconception in the photography community is that the best photographers only use manual. While it’s very important to know what all of your camera settings do, you can often times get away with aperture priority mode, rather than manual. Using aperture priority let’s you choose the aperture, and the shutter speed and ISO will be automatically calculated for you to perfectly expose your photo. This is a great tool to have so that you can spend more time focusing on nailing the shot, and less time tweaking your settings. Especially for scenes where the light changes fast, your settings will automatically continue to adjust, allowing you to get the perfect exposures throughout your shoot. #uberquickphototip #photographytip #camerasettings #landscapephotography #improvephotography #shorts

Wouldn't it be great if there was an exposure mode where YOU set aperture and F/stop and the camera used ISO to AUTOMATICALLY set the proper exposure?
